ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Lead Auditor Workshop omnex

Workshop Outline:

This competency-based five-day workshop under the TPECS scheme provides an explanation of the ISO 45001:2018 requirements and the design of a functional and effective safety management system. It explains the auditing process and audit instruments, the documentation process, how to conduct an audit, how to write the audit report and take corrective action. Presentation materials include real-world case studies to develop skills for auditing and identifying nonconformities. Techniques for leading auditing teams will also be discussed. Students gain knowledge through class tutorials, group exercises, role-playing, and open classroom discussions.

Attendees who successfully demonstrate competence during this course will achieve a Certificate of Attainment for the following competency units:

  • Exemplar Global-45001 (Safety management systems)
  • Exemplar Global-AU (Management systems auditiing)
  • Exemplar Global-TL (Leading managemqant systems auditing teams)

Workshop Goals:

  • Extensive review and application of ISO 45001:2018 – Requirements
  • Identify OHS hazards that are reasonably expected to occur for that business type or industry
  • Understand the application of the principles, procedures and techniques of auditing
  • Assess the risk of identified hazards in the context of the organization’s OHS management system
  • Review and understand auditing codes of practice
  • Understand ISO 45001 audit trails to perform effective audits
  • Learn document review skills
  • Identify and document nonconformances
  • Apply decision-making skills on the ISO 45001:2018 standard in a variety of audit situations
  • Understand the application of the regulations, and other considerations that are relevant to the management system, and the conduct of the audit
  • Conduct opening and closing meetings
  • Complete the audit report and conduct audit follow-up

Recommended Training and/or Experience:

An understanding of the ISO 45001:2018 requirements and/or work experience in applying ISO 45001:2018 is recommended

Fee:                  $2220.00 plus HST.  Meals and materials will be provided.                     

Registration and Cancellation Policy:  Workshop fees must be paid at the time of registration to ensure a seat.  Cancellation requests receive more than 7 calendar days before the start date of the workshop will receive a full refund of the workshop fee minus a $100 administration fee.  Cancellation requests received within the 7 calendar days before the start date of the workshop are non-refundable.  Quality Matters Inc. reserves the right to cancel any workshop.
