 ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor (Exemplar)  omnex

 

Workshop Outline:

This competency-based five-day workshop under the TPECS scheme provides an explanation of the ISO 14001 requirements and the design of a functional and effective environmental management system. It explains the auditing process and audit instruments, the documentation process, how to conduct an audit, how to write the audit report and take corrective action. Presentation materials include real-world case studies to develop skills for auditing and identifying nonconformities. Techniques for leading auditing teams will also be discussed. Students gain knowledge through class tutorials, group exercises, role-playing, and open classroom discussions.

Attendees who successfully demonstrate competence during this course will achieve a Certificate of Attainment for the following competency units:

  • Exemplar Global-EM (Environmental management systems)
  • Exemplar Global-AU (Management systems auditing)
  • Exemplar Global-TL (Leading management systems audit teams)

Workshop Goals:

  • Extensive review and application of ISO 14001 EMS – Requirements
  • Extensive review and application of ISO 19011:2011 Guidelines to auditing management systems
  • Understand and create effective audit plans
  • Review and understand auditing codes of practice
  • Understand ISO 14001 audit trails to perform effective audits
  • Learn document review skills
  • Identify and document nonconformances
  • Apply decision-making skills on the ISO 14001 standard in a variety of audit situations
  • Conduct opening and closing meetings
  • Complete the audit report
  • Practice the personal attributes necessary to perform an effective management system audit

Recommended Training and/or Experience:

An understanding of the ISO 14001:2015 requirements and/or work experience in applying ISO 14001:2015 is recommended.

Fee:                 $2220.00 plus HST, meal and materials will be provided.

Registration and Cancellation Policy:  Workshop fees must be paid at the time of registration to ensure a seat.  Cancellation requests receive more than 7 calendar days before the start date of the workshop will receive a full refund of the workshop fee minus a $100 administration fee.  Cancellation requests received within the 7 calendar days before the start date of the workshop are non-refundable.  Quality Matters Inc. reserves the right to cancel any workshop.
